in the garden of my heart

Jeff and Brandy may have briefly second-guessed moving their Miami University ceremony from Kumler Chapel to the Arthur F. Conrad Formal Gardens. The skies were constantly alternating clouds and sunshine in the hours before their nuptials and the threat of thunderstorms loomed. Quoth the bride, cutting a stunning figure in her elegant ivory trumpet gown, her bright blue eyes clear and determined, “Well, we’re getting married in the gardens, now, rain or shine!” Ultimately, the rain stayed away, and the ceremony went off without a hitch (except, of course, the hitchin’ of the bride and groom). ;-) The celestial peekaboo game continued throughout the ceremony, with a particularly poignant moment when the clouds parted to dramatically illuminate the bride the moment she appeared with her father for her walk down the aisle. From the Seurat-esque beauty of the garden ceremony to the romantic candlelit dinner reception at the Shriver Center, it was a quintessentially dreamy June wedding!
