a very special engagement session

Having first met as “potluck” roomies at Buckeye Girls State seventeen years ago, Julie and I hit it off so well that we arranged to room together when we began college at BGSU the following year. I can’t begin to express how much it means to me to have the honor of covering her wedding to Chris this coming September! If the engagement session was even the slightest indicator of how much fun we’ll have on the big day (and, of course, it surely must be), then oh. HELL. Yeah.

And (because the compulsion was too strong to resist), here’s a delightful little flashback to Bowling Green, circa 1993…

“… which, when pursued, is always beyond our grasp, but which, if you will sit down quietly, may alight upon you.” – Nathaniel Hawthorne
Amy & I hadn’t seen each other in sixteen years, so I was so excited when my schoolmate came down to Cincinnati for an environmental portrait session with her beautiful family at Eden Park (and she just might have to indict me on charges of preposition overkill, there).
We had such a great time, catching up on life while I endeavored to catch some lovely moments in time to save in that proverbial bottle…

What happens when a rambunctious child and a rambunctious puppy get carried away while playing together? “Rupert didn’t mean to do it, Mommy.”
