My father literally handcrafted this entire playset himself (save the play attachments like the slide, swings, plastic handles and rock climb plastic pieces, of course), and transported it down to Cincinnati this past weekend. He and my husband worked their tails off this past Saturday- with intermittent help from a very sweet neighbor boy, my mom and me- from daybreak until just before sundown, assembling it in one day! I hope my kids fully appreciate the time, skill, sweat, effort and love that built this kidtopia. We keep reminding them just to be sure.

 

 

 

 

We’ll be getting into phase two of Operation: Back Yard Transformation in the next weekend or so, and that will be installing our privacy fence! Who needs the gym when you’re getting your workout doing home improvement projects, right?

I love that we’ve called Cincinnati home for more than ten years and we are still constantly discovering new places of interest! As relatively new Eastsiders, we’d never explored Woodland Mound before. Our daughter declared this is her “favorite park ever”, so I suspect we will be spending more time there in the future.
